Every artist and song is different, which is why I approach each project with curiosity and a conversation filled with questions about you. Whether we’re writing something from scratch or taking your idea into a polished production – or both – my goal is to help you create a song that feels unmistakably you.
Production
Every song ever has started with an idea – and my task is, in collaboration with you, to take your idea through the countless music production steps until it aligns with your vision and has that radio quality.
“Idea” can be anything – a voice memo with you just humming some melody, a demo you might have worked on already or even just a vision or artist/song reference that you have in mind for your song. All I need is an honest and open conversation around you and your musical influences and vision and I will make sure to translate that into the song you trust me with!
I will handle every everything from arrangement and instrumentation to vocal production and full mixing and mastering of your song. In my studio I have the means to record and have access to anything we might need, so the only limitation is our imagination! You will of course be involved at every step to make sure the final result feels fully aligned with your artistic identity.
Songwriting
People judge the quality of a song based on how clear the vocals are or the dynamics of the instrumentation. But many forget how important melodies and lyrics are – without this crucial element, the cool beat idea and perfect mix will not be enough.
That is where I can step in with writing or co-writing lyrics and melodies – no matter if it’s from scratch or taking your draft to the finish line. With your vision in mind, I will shape lyrics, melodies and structure that tell your story authentically.
Whether you are a producer who would rather focus on sound shaping or a vocalist who needs help with finding the right melodies for your voice, I will help you find a way to put into words the story or emotion you want to tell and build melodies that will flow naturally with it!
We can either hold the writing session together or, after a conversation about both you and the song, you can trust me to write the song for you on my own – in either case I will help you finding the right lyrics, melodies and arrangement that will reflect your personal style and story.
Process
In my work with artists I firmly believe in good communication as that is the only way for me to properly grasp the artist’s vision and transform it into a song that they will love. I love getting to know the artist and understand the way they think and feel to truly get a hold of the person’s creative mind – lots of curiosity is my tool here!
Whether you choose to trust me with songwriting, production of your song or both, I will always strive to get to know you first and talk about the kind of sound you would like the song to have as well as keep you engaged and updated in the song creation process.
My usual turnaround can vary between a week and a month depending on the complexity of the song and my availability and there are no limits on revisions – we are done when you are happy with the result!
